 Covering an area of 23,000 square meters, Xuzhou Museum is situated on the north slope of Yunlong Hill, a beautiful scenic spot in the city. The museum sits in the original site of the temporary imperial palace of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty(1736 ~ 1795).Lots of exquisite cultural relics of the Han Dynasty are exhibited in the Xuzhou Museum, among which most valuable are the jade clothes interwoven with silver threads, the gild beast ink stone and copper bull lamp. Now the new hall with advanced movement system incl uding modernized fire monitoring, the central air conditioning,the switching equipment and so on, has become one of few advanced museums in our country.
The new hall, covering the area of more than 3000 square meters, displays thousands pieces of culture relics. It has demonstrated the 6000 years civilized course of Xuzhou.
