Yancheng Museum, built up in 1961, is a comprehensive museum. It studies and reflects the history of Yancheng, taking its base role as displaying, collecting, culture relics researching, culture relic protection and so on. Located in No. 118, Jianjun,West Road, it covers the total area of 3,800 square meters.

　　At present, there are 16,000 pieces of culture relics and materials in all, many of which are representative history relics from the Neolithic time to the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Yancheng region. What’s more over 4.000 pieces of the revolutionary cultural relics reflected Sino-Japanese War and Liberation War in Yancheng region are collected there.

　　The basic exhibition of the museum are "Yancheng Historical Relics Exhibition -- Moves towards City from Shoal", which reflects the 5,000 years history of Yancheng, “Zhao Tailai Donation Cultural Relic Exhibition", "Zhao Tailai Donation Religion Cultural Relic", "Hu Gongshi Calligraphy Art Show",  "Southern Song Dynasty Prime Minister Lu Xiufu Historical Data Exhibition" and "Haiyan Culture Park".
